A small summer village

If the city of Méribel receives only 2500 offseason inhabitants, its population rises to over 40 000 in winter. This village resort, the largest in France, has kept the intact Savoyard spirit architecture with imposing the traditional standards of the region, local stone and wood structure and slate tiles for sloped roofs.

  • The biggest part of tourism in Méribel is during the winter when the snow covers the many ski slopes of the resort. Hotels, restaurants and bars open their doors then. One of these hotels is the 5-star Le Kaila,who, like the rest of the resort, respect the Savoyard style, as much for its architecture and its decoration or the menu of its gourmet restaurant.

And ski for everybody

The Kaila offers its guests a privileged access to the slopes of Meribel with a private elevator,directly from the ski shop's hotel. We can then join the other guests who enjoy the 150 km spread over 76 ski slopes of the valley of Les Allues or 2.5 hectares near the Snow Park for thrill seekers.
